The prospect said yes. They liked the proposal, they agreed on the fee, and now you need the document that actually governs the engagement. The proposal sold the vision — the SOW defines the reality. Every deliverable, every milestone, every payment trigger, every assumption that could blow up if left unstated.
Run this after proposal acceptance when you need a formal statement of work. The SOW is the contract beneath the contract — the document both sides reference when someone asks "Is that included?" or "When was that supposed to be done?" Skip it, and you'll answer those questions from memory. Memory is unreliable and non-binding.
