You have 52 production-grade skills. This guide shows you how to use them — two ways, depending on how often you'll reach for a given skill.

First — Get the Skill Out of Notion

Each skill lives on its own page — browse them by category on the home page. To grab one:

  1. Open the skill's page.
  2. Scroll to The Skill and find the gray code block.
  3. Hover over it and click the copy icon in the top-right corner.

The whole skill is now on your clipboard. The fastest path is to paste it straight into Claude using either method below. Prefer a file? Paste it into any plain-text editor and save it as skill-name.md — on Windows, set "Save as type" to All Files so it doesn't save as .txt.

Two Ways to Use a Skill

Option A: Upload to a Conversation

The fastest way to try any skill. Upload it once, use it in that conversation.

  1. Open claude.ai and start a new conversation
  2. Paste the skill you just copied as your first message — or, to attach a file instead, save it as a .md (above) and use the paperclip
  3. Type your request — for example: "Run the Proposal Builder. Here are my discovery call notes:" — and paste your inputs
  4. Claude produces the deliverable. Review, adjust, use

The skill is active for that conversation only. When you start a new conversation, you'd upload it again.

Best for: Trying a skill for the first time. Using a skill you only need occasionally.

Option B: Install in Custom Instructions
